Important Announcement Karthika Snana

Karthika Sanam is one of the auspicious rituals that performs a holy bath starting from Karthik Aswayuja Poornima(17th October) to Karthika Poornima(15th November).

1. What is the benefit of Karthika snana?
Karthika Snana  is a great way to cleanse oneself from past sins. 
2. When is Karthika snana?
Snana starts from the full moon day in the month of Ashwayuja to the full moon day in Karthika masa.

3. How to perform Karthika snana?
Take bath  early in the morning before sunrise(The stars should be visible), Do sankalpa and take bath and do arghya.

Sankalpa:
Kartikeham karishyami pratah snanam janardhana;
Prityartham tava devesha damodara maya saha;
Dhyatvaham tvam cha devesha jaleasmin snatumudyatah;
Tava prasadatpapam me damodara vinashyatu

Arghya Mantra
Nitya naimittike krishnakarthike papanashane
Gruhanarghyam maya dattam radhaya sahito hare
Vratinah kartika masi snatasya vidhivanmana
Gruhanarghyam maya dattam radhaya sahito hare.

Note:- Most of us take bath early in the morning throughout the year, by understanding importance of Karthika Snanam with Sankalpa and Agrhya mantra it will give us immense spiritual experience. If we cannot do Sankalpa and Argya every day during Karthika Snanam timeline atleast we can do on Parva kala on auspicious days like Festival(Deepawali), Ekadashi, Dwadshi, Poornima, Thursday and Amavasya days. Perform this Vrata entire month or do it on auspicious days and come to matha to do Krishnarpanamastu in front of Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu.
